So there are many websites that I truly enjoy reading, some I read everyday, and some I don't, but nonetheless, they are awesome websites that help me function and keep me updated throughout many different areas of life.
Rachel is amazing at picking out trends before the mass market does.You can totally buy something from her "Parallel Universe" section, which is more affordable and rock it out longer than you would have if you would have waited until the product hit the masses.

Thanksgiving!!!

It is finally here!

Turkey Time!

I love Thanksgiving, because it is a time to spend with the family, and just a time set aside and recognized as a day to give thanks. Of course we should be thankful everyday, but acknowledging a day for it is genius, and just lovely.

I love that Thanksgiving is the perfect excuse to overeat without feeling guilty about it too!

I love decorating, so I'm planning on making some Menu cards for the table settings tomorrow, and some nice plate settings as well.

I might upload some pics once I'm done.

This year we have decided that for our dinner all of our family will dress up, instead of just staying in our comfy clothes all day. Sorry stretchy pants, you won't be making an appearance this year...until it's time for leftovers, about an hour or so after the initial meal!

So I am psyched about Thanksgiving and the weather should be perfect, kind of cold, but not too much. Oh how I love perfect occasion weather!

Well I think I will continue to write more on the Thanksgiving subject tomorrow, once I have a clearer idea on what exactly it is I'm going to do.

I'm making dessert, thanks to MarthaStewart.com I've completely nailed the "Apple Crisp" Recipe, and it is phenomenal if I must say so myself!

Now is the time.

Racking my brain I stumbled upon these words, all in a jumble.
Somehow I tried to make them seem eloquent...but you can't re-phase what has been created by your imagination or the essence of it will be totally lost. So here is what I ended up with...it's NOT a poem. Just thoughts.

NOW IS THE TIME.
Now is the time.
Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is a new day.
Full of opportunities.
The world is at your fingertips.
You have to fight for what you want.
Take action.
Be Bold.
No more looking back, time to get catalyzed.
Spring forth into action.
Today is the beginning of the rest of your life.
TODAY, not yesterday, nor tomorrow.
Tomorrow will only follow what you start today.
Be the change in your life that you want to see.
No one will save you, you must save yourself.
Pull yourself up, take the first step.
The longer you stay still, the longer your life passes you by.
Today is your awakening, this is your Genesis.
Do with it what you want, the choice is yours.
Do not let others choose for you, you must carve your own path.
Be your own light.
Stop waiting for something to come along, go out and get it.
Happiness will only ensue, once you are happy with yourself.
If you are not happy, you can't make others happy.
You can change others, but who will change you?
No one knows you better than you do.
Dig yourself out, do not go deeper into the abyss.
Be what YOU want to be, do what YOU want to do.
Those who matter will support you in the end.
Do not live by the standards others have set for you, set your own.
Do not edit yourself for the masses, stand boldly for yourself.
They whisper in your ears "you can't do it, you are not capable"...
I am capable of doing what I want, I realize it now.
How do you expect me to achieve anything, if you keep on bringing me down, before I even start to rise?
If I like black, you don't have to, & I don't have to like moss green just because you do.
Don't do something just to prove everybody wrong, do it for YOURSELF.
Let the doubtful live their life in that manner, let them bask in it, you don't need to.
If the "eye-rollers" don't believe in you when you say you want to do this or that, then you shouldn't believe THEM.
Make your life mean what YOU want it to mean.
Remember that there are consequences for everything.
Whatever you do, make sure that it makes YOU happy.
Sometimes you HAVE to be selfish and help yourself before you can help others.
Don't let yourself drown in order to save others...how will you save them if you already drowned?
Save yourself first, and then you can save the world.
Rely only on those you love, the rest need not opine on your life, nor does it matter.
Break the mold, change your life, no more fairytales, THIS IS IT.
Life is knocking at your door, what are you going to do?
Will you answer it, will you sneak out through the window, or will you wait for someone else to answer it for you?
OWN YOUR LIFE, and take responsibility for everything you do.
YOUR LIFE, YOUR CHOICES...it all begins NOW.

Starting Anew

Hi,
I'm Prisilia and this blog features things that I like, or have an interest in.

I might post lyrics from a song one day, a poem the next, fashion tips another, my perspective on a book the next, and a city I love yet another day, or on the same one.

There's really no limit here, I'm just my random self, being set free, without restrictions.

I like to think I have a broad perspective on life, but know that there is so much more out there that I couldn't even fathom.

I have many ambitions, but can't seem to find the time for everything, so I am trying to do the best I can, and always seeking room for improvement.

I love to sing, play the piano, and the guitar.

Music has been there for me when others haven't.
There is always a song for you, no matter what mood you are in, and I love that.

I enjoy helping others, and really enjoy the simpler things in life, like just sitting on the couch, watching a movie, with a blanket and a pillow, or just driving nowhere in particular with the windows down while the A/C is still on, and with the music blasting from the speakers.

On the other hand, I also have a passion for travel and fashion.

I love learning and seeing new things, it expands my perspective on life and makes me happy.

I love reading because it's like there are portals to other realms in every book I read, and I love the feeling of being in my own little pretend world, putting the faces I want to the characters in the book. :)

Overall, I am a girl who just wants to enjoy her life, and make the best out of the cards I've been dealt.
